Me and my group of Kenna Brianna and I have made the coil project and gave it to Ms. Leon. There was a good ammount of fuss over this project because of the amount of time it took to make. I had the job of rolling all of the strands of clay then Brianna came up with most of the ideas for what shape we should make them and then her and Kenna worked together to put it together. I was never good at all at making coil pots but ours turned out okay. the color looked cool it was blue and yellow and kind of reminded me of a fish or more or so resembled it with all the coils.

This is my extra tall cylinder project, it is pretty smooth with some curves then it has yellow and black color on it with a height of 6 inches and width of 4. I glazed it by painting on black trees which I thought were pretty cool then I dipped it in yellow which was a lot brighter than I had thought. I learned from this how to use a lot of clay and pull up a wall without needing to attach my hands. There is contrast with the black and yellow glaze then there is deep but tight space created in the middle of the pot and with the thick walls. From this I get a explorative feeling because I really tried something new with the whole black trees being painted on.
This is my extra cup that has a smooth surface and on of my best footings I've ever done, The glaze is clear and lots of random other colors with a height of 5.5inches and a width of 3. I glazed it by dropping different colors on to the surface then dipping it in clear. I learned how to center while footing a project and it turned out a lot better than most of mine usually do. This shows line value because it looks like comets coming down the cup in straight lines then it shows movement also by getting people to follow the lines. This kind of goes with my exploration theme on projects really showing movement and my anxiety how things are always moving.
This is my bowl and its the best one I've ever made, its smooth surface and a mix of almost every glaze in the glaze room then its 3 and a half inches tall with a width of about 7 inches. I glazed it by dripping a massive amount of colors on to it then I dipped it in clear glaze which turned out amazing. I learned how to make a excellent base on this bowl and how to make something huge but very light weight. This shows color because of all the colors I used from light to dark then it also shows contrast with the clear glaze. This project means a lot to me because of how well I was able to do on it and shape it.
This is my abstract project it is smooth and 4 and a half inches tall with a width of 3 inches and blueish green glaze. I glazed it by dipping it in blue they putting some brown on it which made it green, I learned how I can mix colors to make it turn out to be a whole new unintended color. This project shows shape because of how I bent the lip and curved it like a flower, then proportion because I made the pull of the wall even to the size of the bowl. This project was actually very fun to make and there is a massive amount of possible options to form the object to.
This is my set of three vases, they are Sydney blue with smooth surfaces and they are each four and a half inches tall. I learned how to make things a like and fast over time and practice, I glazed it by dipping each one in a bucket of glaze. These all show harmony with how they are all the same design and look a like. Also there is shape value with how I was able to shape it using chocking and pushing the wall out. This project to me shows how you can loose what ceramics teaches you, how to be different but making the same project and the same shape and size really diminishes that and takes away from the special feeling.
For our franken pot I made the base which was a pretty decent size and I got the base to be not that thick. Then I slipped and scored the pots together to make one large pot. After we let it dry Kenna and I choose the colors and she glazed it then we were done with it and gave it to Mrs. Leon who is a Spanish teacher.
This is my secound theme project that is very tall because I made it by combining two pots like a franken pot. the surface is smooth then has a bumpy ring on going around it. It has blue on the inside and follows the same theme as my first theme project meaning stripes of black and shaddow green, and it is 8 inches to 10 inches tall with a width of about 2 inches. One thins I learned from doing this is how to compine two pots togethere and make a very tall project. There is good line value here because of the black and shaddow green lines through out the project, and it also shows patteren becasue of the lines that reppeat through the project. This shows how big I can actually make projects and this isn't even three pots on top of eachother its just one so for my next tall project I am going to try and make three pots.
This is my first theme project, it has a smooth surface in the shape of a cup and its 4.5 inches tall with a width of around 1.5 to 2 inches. The middle is white with stripes of shaddow green and black. I had to paint on the stripped using a thick brush then pour white inside the cup and drain it out. One skill I learned from doing this is that pulling walls are easy if you are able to center the project near perfect but it takes a longer time. This project shows line value with the shaddow green and black going around it and shows emphisis on the colors and patteren with the dark and light colors. This project shows how long it can take painting cause it took me a good 15min just to paint the lines when I thought it would take less tim. This is my secound bowl for quarter two and it is 3 and a half inches tall and 4 inches wide with black on the outter shell and speckled ivory on the lip and inside. It has a smooth surface. I glazed it by pouring ivory into the middle then daining it out then i just dipped it in scrap black. I have learned from this that by pouring the glaze into the a project you need to drain it fast so it doesn't our out onto the sides. This has contrast becasue of the light yellow and black on the outside, then it shows space because it is a deep and open project and that was the pourpose. This project means a lot to me because this is a very good perfection of glazing to me and to me it's one of my best bowls I've made.
